What Is Low Back Pain?
Almost every person complains of low back pain at some point in their life. Painful attacks are easy to treat, whereas treatment of established pain is quite difficult.
Working with heavy physical activity, working in a bent-forward position and in the same position for a long time, lifting and carrying heavy loads, weakness of the back and lower back muscles, obesity, and smoking are personal risk factors that play a role in the development of low back pain.
The most common cause of low back pain is soft tissue strain caused by incorrect use of the lower back and poor posture. Other causes of low back pain include herniated discs, calcification, spondylolisthesis, tumors, inflammatory and infectious diseases, bone diseases, and fractures.
Rest, physical therapy, medication, patient education, protection, and surgical treatment are included in the treatment of low back pain.
